Outra agradável surpresa desta semana foi a descoberta de uma banda Norte Americana, mais concretamente de Portland cujo nome não nos é indiferente: “Portugal. The Man”

A justificação desta denominação (como não poderia falhar) encontra-se na wikipédia. O som esse, é que não é mau de todo. Aqui fica o single "Colors" que já incluí no meu "best of" de 2008:

Quanto a esta última, acrescentar que faz parte de uma comédia televisiva "Flight of the Conchords" que segue as atribulações de uma banda folk neozelandesa, composta por dois tipos que vão para Nova Iorque tentar a sua sorte e fazer nome no mundo da música. A série foi criada por James Bobin (de "Da Ali G Show") e pelos próprios actores Jemaine Clement e Bret McKenzie (guitarristas e vocalistas da banda).

A par com Skins e Dead Set, uma das melhores propostas televisas de 2008.

And on the difference from the 1st one, this one doesn't try to make you think we leave in a conspiracy, this one explains you what kind of conspiracy we are all in at the moment. Para aqueles que não tiverem a possibilidade de assistir esta madrugada aos Globos de Ouro, ou que apenas desejam rever, aqui fica um dos melhores discursos da noite:

Skier Suffers A Rare Public Humiliation

Com o frio gélido que se faz sentir até aos ossos dos últimos dias, já ninguém dispensa umas mini-férias na neve. Foi o que fez o pobre coitado da foto mais abaixo. Pena é, que o azar lhe bateu à porta:

"A skier at Colorado's ritzy Vail resort was left dangling upside down and pantsless from a chairlift. It appears that the chairlift's fold-down seat was somehow not in the lowered position, which caused the man to partially fall through the resulting gap. His right ski got jammed in the ascending chairlift, and that kept him upended since his boot never dislodged from its binding."

Religulous

Com data prevista para 15 de Janeiro em terras Lusas, este é um filme que ninguém deve perder sobretudo, se possuírem a fantástica prenda que a Zon Multimedia ofereceu este natal aos seus clientes: o myZoncard, que ao todo vai permitir vislumbrar aos seus assinantes cerca de 8 filmes por mês à pala, num total de 52 filmes por ano.

Nada mal!!!

O mais estranho disto tudo é que na realidade esta abençoada dádiva funciona!!!

Se não, de que outra forma teria eu visto esta sexta-feira passada o filme “Yes Man” ??? A ânsia de testemunhar o poder milagroso deste cartão foi mais forte e, perante o cardápio de opções, melhor solução não foi possível encontrar (piu!!!).

Como ainda me restam no saldo 7 sessões já providenciei a lista de Janeiro:

Uma coisa é inegável!!! Nunca a vontade de colocar os pés numa sala de cinema foi tão desmesurada e assim, vencer a minha assumida agorafobia ao público ordinário (para não dizer outra coisa) que habitualmente me calha na rifa.

Bemdito sejas TU ó myZoncard que me adestras à tua benevolência...
